The Women’s Gather Bible Study meets once a month on a Saturday from 9:15 to 11:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Our gatherings are based on the Gather magazine Bible studies, offering thoughtful and spirit-filled discussions that help us grow in faith and community. All women are welcome to join us as we explore scripture together, share our experiences, and support one another on our faith journeys. More information and supplemental videos WOMEN’S GATHER BIBLE STUDY: Winter/Spring 2024 Study: “Scripture and Nature: Teachers of Faith” by The Rev. Sara Olson-Smith. Study will be led by Pastor Christa Jesus regularly invokes nature in his teaching, drawing us into deeper relationship with the created world. But it’s not just Jesus inviting us to see creation as teacher and kin. The scriptures themselves help us see the important role of the created world in God’s story and saving work. This four-session Bible study explores how biblical stories of the natural world help us to grow our love for and commitment to God, other people and our beloved earth. WOMEN’S GATHER BIBLE STUDY: We have a lively & growing group of women who GATHER to study the Bible using the monthly national magazine and Bible Studies of the Women of the ELCA (WELCA). We meet once a month, on Saturday from 9:15 AM to 11:45 AM. Invite someone who may or may not be a member of our congregation. Bring a brunch item to share. Collectively they dealt with the death of a son, the death of a spouse, harassment, infertility, fear, anxiety and grief. Think of them as your spiritual grandmothers, your guides in traversing difficult ground. If we ignore their stories, we miss out on a literal host of resources — and just perhaps, a richer Advent.
